I Know What It's Like To Rebuild...

My second act didn’t start with a business plan…it started with a cancer diagnosis.

In January 2025, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Luckily, my doctors caught it early. It was an aggressive form of cancer, so I needed aggressive treatment.  I had a double mastectomy in April and began three months of chemotherapy starting in May.

It was honestly one of the hardest seasons of my life.

I’m doing well now, I’m in remission, and I’m very grateful every day for that, but I won’t pretend that this season didn’t change me.  Because it actually changed everything.

How I thought about my health, the way my body works now, the amount of money in my bank account, and the business I’ve spent nearly 30 years building.

I couldn’t run my business the way I used to.  I had to rebuild not only what I was doing, but also around honoring my body and my energy.  That meant rethinking my systems, my energy levels, my priorities…all while trying to heal.

If you’ve ever had to rebuild your whole life AND your income at the same time, you know how overwhelming that can feel!!

And that is exactly why I created The Second Act Entrepreneur.

From Surviving To Building

Navigating through that season taught me something I couldn't have learned any other way: a second act isn't about starting over from scratch.

It's about taking everything you already know  (your skills, your resilience, your years of experience)  and building something new.

Now I work one-on-one with women who are doing exactly that. Women who are in their own second act, for whatever reason brought them there, and want to build a business that actually supports the life they're living now… not the life they used to have.

I bring real strategy: business building, financial guidance, and the honest, no-jargon conversations I wish someone had had with me. But I also bring something that can't be taught in a plug-and-play template, because I've actually been where you are.

When I'm Not Coaching

You’ll usually find me at home, cozying up with a good book and spending time with my three furbabies, who each have their own personalities. They’re my daily reminder that some of the best things in life show up when you weren’t planning on keeping them!!

Buster is a rescue pup from the shelter. He loves all the treats, especially cauliflower.  He has never met a low-energy moment in his life and is, without question, the goodest boy ever. Just ask him.

Dot is a foster fail and he's actually a boy. We weren't planning on keeping him, but God had other plans. He’s my sweet, cuddly boy now and always tries to climb into my lap and “help” me work.

Cleocatra (Cleo for short) was found in the middle of the road by a cemetery at just four weeks old. She’s fearless and now runs the household like she’s always been in charge.
